Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong and more, is transporting the beloved Nintendo characters into real life in a bizarre way with figurines and Instagram.
Martinet is positioning the video game characters against the backdrop of real-world situations and providing voice overs as they banter within the environment. The prolific voice actor has posted at least 25 videos on Instagram as he vacations in Chile.
You can see Mario and Luigi having discussions about a quizzical Illama and random wildlife, Wario telling jokes to the iconic pair and Luigi getting a little too close to a searing barbecue.
Martinet's talents are about to feature in fighting video games Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The title is set to hit Japan on September 13, North America and Europe on October 3 and Australia on October 4 for the 3DS. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is slated for a worldwide release Q4 2014.
