Asiasoft Closes RO2 Servers in Malaysia and Singapore

Just 4 months shy of celebrating its 2nd anniversary in Southeast Asia, MMORPG Ragnarok Online II: Legend of the Second (RO2) will be shutting its servers in the region.

AsiaSoft, the game's official publisher in the region, announced earlier today that the Singapore and Malaysia servers for RO2 will be shut down on 9th October 2014. In preparation of the shutdown, all game cash conversion to RO2 will be disabled and new PlayID registrations will be blocked from playing the game.

Time to move to greener pastures

One consolation for existing players is that they will be able to transfer and merge their accounts with WarpPortal, the official North American publisher for RO2. Players may now start the initial transfer by visiting the link here.

Developed by Gravity, the Open Beta for Ragnarok Online II: Legend of the Second was launched by AsiaSoft in Southeast Asia on 3 January 2013. However, the game suffered a setback when Gravity announced that it will take the game offline in Korea due to lack of players. Last month, WarpPortal opened a server for Philippine players.
