How to Train Your Dragon 3 Pushed to 2017

How to Train Your Dragon 2 crossed the $600 million threshold on Labor Day, making it the highest-grossing animated movie of 2014 and one of the Top 10 grossing films of the year.

On the heels of their success, Hiccup and Toothless are planning to soar once more on the big screen for How to Train Your Dragon 3. However, DreamWorks Animation has now pushed the release date back from June 17, 2016 to almost a year later on June 9, 2017. At this time, it's unclear why the date was changed.

Returning cast members for Dragon 3 include Jay Baruchel as the voice of Hiccup, America Ferrera as Astrid and Cate Blanchett as Valka.
