James McAvoy Expects to (Finally) Go Bald in X-Men: Apocalypse

Before X-Men: First Class was released, some fans couldn’t get their, ahem, heads around the fact that James McAvoy was playing a young Professor Xavier who had hair! The character was traditionally portrayed as bald, of course. But now, according to McAvoy, those same fans may finally get a follicle-challenged Professor X in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

While talking to HuffPost Live, McAvoy speculated thusly: "I think I'm losing my hair finally.”

The actor also confirmed that the film will take place in the 1980s, as we have previously heard. That means Apocalypse will be set some 20 years after First Class (and 10 after Days of Future Past, which of course took place in 1973 -- not including the time-travel-ly future of that film).

Other than that, the actor says he doesn’t know much about the film yet. “It seems fairly global, if we're talking apocalypse," he said. Indeed it does…

But what can be more apocalyptic than losing your hair…?!
