Move over, Kate Beckinsale. Underworld Awakening and Divergent's Theo James is the new face of the Underworld movie franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James "will be the central character in the new film, which is not a reboot but rather an expansion of the existing universe. Sources say there was an option on James because of his work on the previous film, and he'll star opposite two new female characters. Casting is underway for those roles, with plans to start shooting in the spring."
James played the character "David" -- a Vampire-Corvinus strain hybrid -- in the 2013 film.
Cory Goodman is scripting Underworld 5 for Lakeshore Entertainment.
Theo James will also star in the Divergent sequels Insurgent, Allegiant Part 1 and Part 2.
