Dynamic saw that MP were sending two top, but they still elected to send Katarina (ZionSpartan) to solo top. It soon became well worth as Olaf (Nintendudex) Ghost ganked. MP's duo lane were actually able to retreat to safety, but re-engaged when Nunu (Nk Ink) arrived from the river. Meat Playground were able to kill Olaf, but not before Olaf dropped Sona (Lemongod). Katarina was then able to pick up Sivir (LightSludge) and Nunu with cooldown resets. MP were able to pick up a kill on Miss Fortune (DontMashMe) but Dynamic were able to pick up dragon when Meat Playground were regrouping. Dynamic tried to to push mid lane to ride their momentum, but a perfect Sona ult caught four of them and MP were able to go four for three on the fight. After pulling MP's blue buff for a steal, Blitzcrank found himself caught out by Irelia (Rhux) leading to his and Orianna's death. Stealing blue buff continued to be volatile when MP were caught themselves, dropping two kills to Dynamic. TD began moving aggressively once again and found Nunu out of position and were able to kill him and his Oracle's in a quick burst of damage. The following standoff came to a close as MF got an auto off onto the isolated Irelia with red buff and MP were forced to engage. Dynamic quickly lost two champions to MP's aoe, but Dynamic were able to win the extended fight four for two, taking a turret and quickly regrouping to take Baron. TD then rotated to dragon and bot lane to finish the inner turret there. Blitcrank's zone allowed MF to split push down the top inner turret. Irelia was caught out again, but this time by her own Anivia's wall, and TD were able to engage under the top inhibitor turret to win a fight and complete their top lane push. MP were out of options and Blitz grabs kept them humbled when they landed again and again. TD's powerful perfomance in game one landed them a decisive victory.

MP did not want to risk seeing Katarina or Olaf again and banned them out, but TD did not miss a step. A Flash in by Maokai (Nk Ink) was countered sufficiently by Orianna's own Flash to start off the action. With Maokai's Flash down, Shen (Nintendudex) headed for a Blue invade. He was very quickly spotted by a Maokai sapling and was forced to his run. Shen was barely able to survive after Flashing over the Baron wall and a shield from Orianna (ParadoXical). Some hard trading back and for got both duos to vulnerable health. Maokai could not resist and got the jump on Dynamic's bot lane, but some great kiting got them away safely while putting out enough damage to force MP back. First blood finally went down in mid lane moments later with a gank by Shen. With Maokai's Flash back up he was able to catch up to the fleeing Nidalee (ZionSpartan) top lane to lock her down long enough for Jayce (Rhux) to get the kill. Maokai headed straight to bot lane after a failed stun by Pobelter which left Orianna and Shen to go to work on a lone Xerath for a a kill. Maokai returned to mid lane in at attempt to stop the bleeding, but Shen refused to be left out and ulted in, turning the tides on Xerath yet again. When Nidalee was able to dive Jayce for a kill and get out with 12 health remaining, it seemed fate itself was on Dynamic's side and every MP role fell further and further behind. Dynamic began to secure every dragon, take turrets, and come out ahead in every skirmish. The gold lead became 10k and jumped to 20k before the brutal match came to a conclusion.

Key Team Fight:

Irelia getting caught in game one was less than ideal, but it could have turned out much better for MP if they had used the zoning of Nunu's ult to reset the fight instead of getting divided and conquered. They may have been able to work down TD if they had backed up and faced front forward as a unit.

Most Valuable Player:

The MVP of the match goes to Nintendudex. His impact in both games with two very different champions was a great showcase of his ability to employ various effective mentalities and mechanics to propel his team to victory.

Eclypsia upsets Curse.EU 2-0!

Every lane was going in Curse’s favor for the first 13 minutes and the score was 3-0. After getting a kill in bottom lane, Corki (Sleper) went back to base and Eclypsia took it upon themselves to take the first dragon of the game. Despite Amumu’s (Malunoo) best efforts at stealing dragon and stalling the fight for Corki, Eclypsia were able to secure dragon and get four kills for only two deaths. With this wild gold swing Eclypsia took their first lead of the game and immediately began taking steps to make sure it was the last one they needed. They began warding nearly every inch of Curse’s jungle and pushing extremely aggressively. EC easily secured the next two dragons and Baron. After recovering from some inconsequential lapses in focus, Eclypsia were able to wrap up their stunning victory at 31 minutes.

Thinking that Sona had been their main problem in game one, Curse made the mistake of banning her instead of Lee Sin. While the rest of the map was evenly contested, Ezreal (Killwar) got way ahead of Graves (Sleper) in cs. ImSoFresh’s prowess as Lee Sin landed him at a whopping 10-1 by mid game. Eclypsia maintained their emphasis on wards from the first game and caught Curse players time and time again as they face-checked bushes. This was a version of Eclypsia that has not been seen before in competitive play and this was without their regular mid and team captain ShLaYa (make of that what you will).

Player of the Match:

He stole the spotlight in game one through his split pushing and slipperiness and simply dominated in game two: this match’s MVP was definitely ImSoFresh.

Key Team Fight:

The team fight that changed the whole series from Curse’s to win into Eclypsia’s to lose happened in the pivotal dragon brawl in game one. Regardless of who made the call, Amumu (Malunoo) should not have forced anything. Losing dragon was not going to lose them the game, but losing dragon and four team members when waiting for Corki may have allowed them to recoup their losses was a travesty that gave Eclypsia plenty of room to show what they are capable of.
